Biënnale Gelderland 2006

The installation 'Dear Lord I know I am slow, please be patient' occasioned by the  Biennial Gelderland, investigates the possibility to sample (as in music) with inert images. This resulted in a process, not unlike painting;

colour, line, remnant space and proportions support the content. Each image was placed and replaced until unity was achieved.

The installation, in the museum Valkhof Nijmegen, was made as a reaction to the theme of the Biennial 'the functioning of the market and companies can salvage the arts and rescue her from isolation'. Subsequently the installation became a swansong to all that is slow, illogical and complex.
